Don't Delay, Join the USAPA Today!

I can play Pickleball without becoming a member of the USAPA, why should I join? What's in it for me? Why do we need this association any way. These are very legitimate questions.

The simple answer is yes, you can play pickleball without joining the USAPA. However, if we want to see this great sport grow, we need a central organizing body to control and update rules. Pickleball is now an international sport being played outside of North America in such countries as England and India. As this growth continues world wide, it is even more important for us to have this strong central body to organize this rapid growth.

Most sports have their own central organization or association. Tennis, golf, badminton, racquet ball, hockey to name a few. If you want to join your local championship golf club, you will have no choice but to become a member of the state golf association to belong. The same may be true of a tennis club.

The USAPA not only provides Pickleball with rule updates on a regular basis, they provide excellent training material in the form of articles and videos. New players can learn the rules and techniques of the game while experienced players can get tips to improve their games from
http://www.usapa.org/. A training budget to purchase equipment to start up new clubs is provided by the USAPA.

Software is provided free of charge to run ladder play at the local level or tournament software to run a competition at the state and local level. The USAPA will announce your local or state tournament on their website and publish the results for free. Players that want a national ranking can participate in USAPA scantioned tournaments and establish their ranking.

To offer all these programs for free and provide training materials and budgets to start clubs the USAPA needs funds. The majority of funds come from your membership fees.

To continue the great work of the USAPA for Pickleball, you need to take out a membership today. For $20, you get a one year membership, a free usapa t-shirt in red, violet or light blue, and a static cling windshield sticker.
